In honor of Giving Day for Apes, we’re Pigs, Pugs & Primates 🦧 for today!
On this special day, we honor and support the incredible work being done to protect and conserve orangutans and chimpanzees. These majestic creatures are critically endangered, and their survival depends on collective efforts to preserve their habitats and prevent further harm.
At Pigs & Pugs (& Primates on this special day!) Project, we’re committed to raising awareness and funds to support pig sanctuaries and pug rescues (plus orangutan and chimpanzee conservation on Giving Day for Apes). From rescuing displaced apes to protecting rainforests to choosing sustainable palm oil—every effort makes a difference in their lives.
Let’s come together to give back on this special day and ensure a brighter, safer future these beautiful beings.
Today we’ve donated $500 to Center for Great Apes in honor of their mission to “provide a permanent sanctuary for orangutans and chimpanzees who have been rescued or retired from the entertainment industry, from research, or from the exotic pet trade.”
We’ve also donated $500 to Jane Goodall Institute who “turns hope into action to protect the natural world we share and create a better future for all through community-led conservation work to protect endangered chimpanzees and other great apes, restore and grow critical habitats, improve human well-being, and empower the next generation of changemakers through Roots & Shoots.“
